While I hope you will sense my passion for my craft, it’s important to share that I am a family man and a veteran; in fact, those are my first loves.
My story goes like this: I am a native of Cheyenne, Wyoming, born and raised! As a kid, I always thought I’d be a computer programmer. But when I took a trip to Europe with my French class in high school, along with my clothes, I packed eight disposable cameras. The images those cameras produced when I returned home spoke to me. But only in a whisper. When I later enrolled at the Art Institute of Colorado to be a web designer, I instantly changed my mind after a tour of their photography department. That little voice that followed me home from France became much louder, and I took the plunge. Taking that dive was one of the smartest decisions of my life. But not the smartest decision. Maybe it was the third smartest decision. I graduated with my AAS in photography in 2008.
The second smartest decision I ever made was to join the Wyoming Army National Guard in 2004. I transferred to the Wyoming Air National Guard in 2007; I still serve my country as the noncommissioned officer in charge of material control in my unit. My military career has been incredibly rewarding, particularly regarding the people I’ve met, things I’ve seen and accomplished. I originally joined because I wanted to serve my nation and to travel. Thus, I met my goals, and then some.
The absolute smartest decision I ever made was to marry my wife, Natalie, in 2007. We have two amazing sons, Jacob and Logan. They are why I get out of bed every day.
I also love hockey…and I LOVE my Jeep.
And I would love to work with you to show your life’s passions in your individual or family photos. My eye speaks to my heart, and it controls my camera. Give me a try. You’ll see.
