My Story
I’m a Cheyenne, Wyoming native, husband and father of two teenage boys, and a retired service member who’s now pursuing portrait photography part-time once again. Just before COVID hit, my family and I relocated to Colorado Springs. Between the pandemic, my last deployment to Africa in 2022, and a career transition, photography took a back-seat for a while.
When we moved back to Cheyenne, it felt like a full circle moment. Settling in again made me realize how much photography grounded me—how it gave me a sense of calm, creativity, and connection during a time when life had been anything but predictable. Being home brought me back to the people and places that shaped me, and it reminded me why I picked up a camera in the first place. It became clear that I was ready to step back into photography with a clearer purpose, a renewed passion, and a deeper appreciation for capturing real moments that matter.
And just to get this out of the way… yes, my logo is blue. And yes, my last name is Allred. I know what you’re thinking: “Missed branding opportunity, Jeff.” Trust me—I already lived the predictable red-logo life. Been there, done that, designed the merch, and happily moved on. This time around, I wanted something that actually reflects me. Blue isn’t just my favorite color—it’s my personality, my vibe, my default setting: calm, trustworthy, steady, clear, thoughtful, clean, crisp, and confidently modern without having to shout for attention. So instead of leaning into the obvious “Allred must use red” cliché, I chose the color I genuinely love. Call it creative rebellion. Call it growth. Call it a man choosing joy. Either way… it’s blue, and I stand by it.
I am getting better, but updating my own family images seems like a chore sometimes. So, I also hire talented photographers in the Cheyenne area!

- tackling whatever home project is next (because there’s always another one…)
